I was looking through some old tear sheets from my inspiration file and came across some from one of my favourite homes belonging to the force behind Jimmy Choo - Tamara Mellon. London born and American raised, Mellon started as an accessories editor at British Vogue but spotted a niche in the luxury shoe market not quite filled by Blahnik....She has turned Jimmy Choo into a global brand name that represents the last word in chic. Why should her accomodations be any less fantastic! Tamara hired decorator Martyn Lawrence-Bullard to help give her the Hollywood Glamour she needed. Lawrence-Bullard is a classic Hollywood decorator with an impressive client list. This is an apartment after my own heart!! I am a sucker for chevron wood flooring - so french!!! and I love the bright colours.... The screen print of Grace Kelly is an Andy Warhol original. The lamps in the bedroom are vintage David Hicks, the textile hanging on the wall is nineteenth century from Istanbul - stunning!!!
