Have you ever felt like you have known someone in a past life? someone who affects you on every level........... for me it is Oscar. Such a literary genius...... such a tragic life, it saddens me to think that someone so wonderful and witty died penniless and cast aside by society. Oscar was born on October 16th, 1854. Ever the aesthete, he was profoundly affected by beauty and lived and dressed flamboyantly compared to the typical Victorian styles and mores of the time. He was part of the evergrowing movement of 'decadents' who advocated pacifism, social reform and libertarianism. He is one of the most quoted writers in History.
